EDUCATIONAL DEVELOPMENT

The focus is on building a commitment to school, promoting academic achievement, and fostering the goal of higher education for the participant. Through the following activities:

  • Academic Success Counseling: The program counselor or another knowledgeable staff member meets with parents to communicate academic updates, attendance, homework and behavior checks from the school portal for their children in the school system.  Strategies are offered to assist parents in helping their children to stay on the path of academic success.

  • STREAM (Science, Technology, Reading, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics):  The focus is on each discipline of STREAM.

  • #CAP (College Admission Process):   It is designed to assist high school students in their efforts to enter colleges by providing a hands-on approach that includes all the steps from researching various colleges to completing the application process.

  • College/Cultural Tours: Students will be able to tour colleges, universities, and technical centers. The students will also be able to participate in some of the local cultural activities in the various cities.
